Soft pastel pairs always start showing up around this time of year, but some land better than others, and this one gets there without doing too much. Dressed in Sail, White, Metallic Silver, and Soft Yellow, the Nike Dunk Low “Soft Yellow” keeps the color blocking familiar while letting the materials do more of the work.
Instead of going with the usual full leather setup, Nike mixes in a finish that gives the shoe a little more life. Sail leather handles the base on the toe box, side panels, collar, and heel underlay, so the foundation stays smooth and straightforward. Over the top, Soft Yellow suede covers the mudguard, eyestays, heel, and Swoosh, bringing in a rougher texture that makes the pair feel slightly more distinctive.
The rest of the upper stays in step with that approach. A white nylon tongue is matched with Soft Yellow branding on the tongue tag and insoles, while the laces and inner lining keep the same soft tone running throughout. White Nike embroidery hits the heel, and a small Metallic Silver mini Swoosh near the lateral rear panel gives the design one crisp break.
