Can we sit here and say that the “sneaker loafer” moment is as fervent as it was when it first started gaining traction? Of course we can’t, but brands who refitted old classics or churned out new product to fill out that category never had lifespans of a few months in mind with those inventions.

To be entirely clear, though the crossover concept isn’t as “viral” as it once was, “snoafers” remain a frequent sight on the fashion-forward dressers in any major city. As the Comme Des Garcons Air Max Dolce brings an archival design back to the fore, the Air Max Phenomena is still in the mix as Nike’s chief modern invention. This “Cobblestone” edition chalks of a perfect middle ground between sporty edge with its black contrast sole, Y2K attitude with a metallic silver strap, and traditional formal textures with a flat grey pebbled leather upper.
