Something unusual is happening with Nike’s latest indoor revival, and this pair leaves just enough unexplained to make the official images more interesting. The Nike Total 90 III SE “Barbed Wire” brings a darker, more coded feel to the early-2000s football model, pairing Pure Platinum across the upper with Green Abyss, Dark Raisin, and Black accents.
Rather than leaning only on nostalgia, this version pushes the silhouette in a stranger direction. Pure Platinum leather and canvas handle most of the build, while reflective Green Abyss wraps the heel and flashes hard under light. Dark Raisin lands on the sockliner, outsole, and lower tooling, which helps ground the lighter upper and gives the design a more dramatic finish.
The part that changes the whole mood is the side branding. In place of the usual “90” hit, Nike swaps in a grungy black “10” graphic filled with barbed wire detailing, instantly giving the pair a more mysterious identity. Waxed black laces sharpen the look, while the insoles add even more character through a fiery yin-yang logo on one foot and graffiti-style Swoosh artwork on the other.
There is still no firm explanation behind the story. It may connect to .SWOOSH, a player-driven concept, or another special project entirely.
The Nike Total 90 III SE “Barbed Wire” is expected to release in Summer 2026 via Nike.com for $125.
