Devin Booker is bringing a personal story back into focus with the Nike Book 2 “Haven and Hector” edition. After a stretch filled with player exclusives and limited pairs, this upcoming release puts the spotlight back on a version fans can actually chase at retail. Better yet, it builds on one of the earliest themes tied to Booker’s signature line.
The sneaker revisits the fuzzy black upper that helped the original pet-inspired colorway stand out. Orange accents return on the Swoosh, keeping the look sharp while adding contrast across the upper. This time, however, the concept expands beyond Haven and now includes Hector, Booker’s newer dog, giving the pair a stronger family connection.
Small design changes help separate this version from the earlier release. A Gothic-style Detroit detail appears on the outer tongue, while images of both dogs are placed on the inner side of the shoe. Those touches give this Book 2 more personality without changing the formula that made the first version memorable.
In-hand photos have already surfaced through an early launch overseas, giving fans a closer look before the wider release. Right now, the Nike Book 2 “Haven and Hector” is expected to release in the U.S. sometime in May through select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com.
