Pharrell Williams’ adidas Jellyfish has quickly become one of the defining sneaker stories of 2025, with the brand aggressively building momentum around the silhouette through a steady rollout of increasingly eye-catching colorways. Following February’s retail launch of the “Royal” and “Triple Black” editions and the recent ultra-limited Hot Pink pair distributed during F1 Miami weekend, the Jellyfish is already beginning to build anticipation for its next chapter in 2026 with a key name attached.
Chief Keef had already begun fueling speculation around his potential adidas partnership earlier this month after being spotted wearing the unreleased Hot Pink colorway. The Chicago rapper has once again reignited conversation after sharing a first look at an unreleased Jellyfish colorway via his Instagram Stories.
The newly revealed pair introduces an entirely new approach to the silhouette’s color-blocking; whereas most previous Jellyfish releases leaned heavily on white-based uppers with colorful overlays, this version flips the formula by utilizing black as the primary base layer. White overlays create sharp contrast throughout the upper while vibrant green accents inject an additional pop of energy into the design. The darker arrangement immediately gives the shoe a varied appearance that will play a role in the growth of Pharrell’s most important shoe in his modern stripes catalog.
Chief Keef’s repeated early access to unreleased Jellyfish colorways has many wondering whether adidas Originals is preparing some form of partnership with the influential rapper. More to come.
