In 2025, the “Brick By Brick” instantly push Nigel Sylvester into the inner circle of top-level Jordan Brand collaborators. Following a narrative regarding the long road success that the BMX superstar had followed to his current station, visited via the Jordan 4 RM “Grandma’s Driveway” in two colorways, the shoe took is title literally. Its all-over fiery arrangement became an instant modern classic, potentially already the case for its sequel.
It’s almost a meta story: conceptually, the “Brick After Brick” Jordan 4 speaks to Nigel Sylvester continuing that run of greatness, clearly the aim for this shoe commercially. From jump, the shoe shifts into more “conventional” territory than the flashy arrangement that preceded it. Off-white patches of “Sail” and “Muslin” speak to that concept of being “generational,” previouslys seen on his Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Better With Time.” The “Cinnabar” hits throughout keep things tied to that sidewalk-level story, before Sylvester-specific hits like “Bike Air” branding and a forefoot mini Swoosh close out this pair.
