Infinite Archives made its Jordan Brand debut with the Air Jordan 17 Low “Beach” in 2025. The collaboration revisited the early-2000s model with a new look while also paying tribute to several original Air Jordan 17 Player Exclusives. Now, two of the colorways that surfaced during the lead-up to that release are expected to receive a wider launch.
The “Varsity Purple” and “Varsity Red” Air Jordan 17 Low share the same basic construction. Sail leather covers most of the upper, while Black appears around the ankle collar and inner bootie. Metallic Silver details add another finish to the design, while Purple or Red accents separate the two versions. Infinite Archives branding is also expected on the inner portion of the shoes.
Both colorways have roots in the original Air Jordan 17 lineup. The “Varsity Purple” version draws from Mike Bibby’s Sacramento Kings Player Exclusive, while the “Varsity Red” pair references the original White, Varsity Red, and Charcoal Air Jordan 17 from 2002. Bibby was one of the Jordan Brand athletes who received special Air Jordan 17 pairs during the model’s original run.
