Pharrell Williams continues to innovate with adidas, unveiling the adidas Jellyfish at Paris Fashion Week. Since joining adidas in 2014, Pharrell has redefined classics like the Stan Smith and Superstar while creating fresh designs under his Hu line. The adidas Jellyfish adds to this legacy with a bold, imaginative design.
First spotted during Pharrell’s public outings with his signature bootcut denim, the adidas Jellyfish turned heads ahead of its Paris debut. Drawing inspiration from adidas’ archives, the sneaker takes cues from the retro-inspired Response CL. The standout design includes an intricate plastic exoskeleton that mimics a jellyfish’s shape. Additional highlights include a playful “Jellyfish” wordmark and an eye-catching off-white and orange colorway.
Crafted with precision, the adidas Jellyfish merges futuristic aesthetics with Pharrell’s creative vision. The silhouette bridges the gap between nostalgia and innovation, offering a modern twist on adidas’ heritage. Its bold look is perfect for those seeking something unique in their sneaker rotation.

Former adidas Design Director Zac Andrews revealed that the Jellyfish sneaker evolved from the Adistar Cushion 3 project. Pharrell’s role at Louis Vuitton influenced the shift—away from leather and toward adidas’ technical strengths.
The final design channels muscle movement and fluid energy, with layered panels and sculpted elements. Pharrell encouraged bold ideas, pushing for oversized details and vibrant jellyfish-inspired colors like orange, grey, and tan.
The tongue features a unique “jellyfish” logo and “Virginia” branding—nodding to Pharrell’s roots. With full creative backing and innovative tech, the result is part art, part performance.
