adidas is coming off one of the best on-field collaborations of the year, the German sneaker giant recently touching down with Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen football cleats that drummed up lots of interest and sold out quickly upon release. Now the Three Stripes is returning to the gridiron with another collaboration of the truly unexpected variety, linking with Snickers for a sweet take on the Adizero Electric II model.
Arriving right on time for early-season NFL football and Halloween in late October, the cleat features a nice brown suede foundational layer with hairy tan suede forming the stripes, resembling the candy bar’s chocolate coating and nougat center. The coolest and loudest addition lands on the sole, taking up bold “ADIZERO” text in the Snickers candy bar font. Serrated heel flaps host yellow text reading “Go Nuts,” while a bedazzled “S” lace dubrae adds another elevated touch.
As you might suspect, the cleats are only one part of the equation. Snickers and adidas have also opened up a sweepstakes for co-branded candy bars from now until October 13th (tap HERE to enter). Snickers is also dropping a hidden stash of “Ghoulish Green” candy bars related to the cleat’s insoles, said to carry a special Halloween touch.
