Though now rebranded and certainly not prolific to the degree that Nike’s enterprise is, the Kobe Bryant legacy is very much a priority for the Three Stripes. After trotting out the Crazy 1 and Crazy 8 in recent years, it’s the adidas Crazy 2.0 that’s in the spotlight, revitalizing the chunky, brutalist design at a moment where its retro-futuristic hallmarks are very much in vogue.
After letting loose a “Silver Metallic” that harkened back to the Y2K roots at play and an “All-Star” edition that closer connected to the Mamba’s actual playing days, the silhouette returns to the former with a “Zero Metallic” look. Dousing the padded upper entirely in the tonal shade, “Onix” trim darkens the profile a bit within the collar and outsole. In similar fashion to Protro offerings out of Beaverton, despite the aesthetics remaining intact from its early aughts origins, the adidas Crazy 2.0 is partially remodeled from a performance standpoint, now bearing modern Lightstrike cushioning for a more premium on-court ride.
The adidas Crazy 2.0 “Zero Metallic” is available now via adidas, retailing for $160. Hit our “Where To Buy” links included below to grab yours while sizes remain.
