2025 has already been extremely busy for JJJJound. On top of one of the more high-profile collaborations of the year in their re-up of the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14, they’ve checked off dips into their relationships with PUMA, Vans, adidas, and New Balance, each delivering the understated aesthetic that’s brought them such high-regarded status in footwear. Now a new name enters that recent catalog, as the Montreal imprint zeroes in on their second-ever collaboration with Salomon, the JJJJound XT-6.
While heavy monochromatic treatments are nothing new for the brand, this all-black does mark a divergence from the trademark JJJJound earthy palette, instead embracing more of a neon-tinged atmosphere. The trademark primary color stripe on the tongue does much of the heavy lifting in that regard, though fiery graphic branding hits abutting the heel and dotting the forefoot also bring some lively energy onto the Salomon XT-6. Importantly, this follows a similar if not inverted script from the previous Salomon JJJJound link-up, an XT-Wings 2 pair that pinned cool blue atop a white-dominant model.
Those familiar with the brands’ previous projects will know that these product reveals/teasers typically only predate an earnest release by a few weeks. Given that, we’re generally expecting a Fall 2025 tip-off for the JJJJound Salomon XT-6; an exclusive drop via the Montreal imprint’s channels will likely come before a wider launch.
