Bad Bunny adidas Stone Slide

With all eyes on Puerto Rico this Summer, adidas Originals is leveraging the magnetic power of Bad Bunny by bringing an exclusive archive of footwear for the locals and worldwide fan who make the trek to the island. Previewed in this exhibit, which runs from August 7th through the 18th at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, is 150 different Bad Bunny x adidas Originals footwear arranged in chronological order, including released pairs, scrapped samples, and future product.

The Stone Slide is the first foray into the open-toed slide world for the Bad Bunny x adidas Originals partnership, although there were some attempts that never made it to light (we’ll show you in a bit). With plans to release the shoes to the public later this year, we chose to take a closer look at the Stone Slide to give those unable to make The Archive exhibit a closer look.

Revealed in five striking colorways, the Bad Bunny Stone Slide has that classic Adilette look with the three stripes that run across the toe, but the slide approaches the bulkier aesthetic as it features a wider chassis than your typical hot-weather slip-on. The drop-in footbed features the stripes with serrated edges that run from toe to heel.

The Stone Slide features a unique exterior purposefully designed to appear like the stone surfaces that line the many caves of Puerto Rico. Additionally, the bottoms have a tire tread-like design with curved stripes running through, mimicking the surface of the sandy beaches here in Puerto Rico.

adidas Originals representatives have confirmed with Sneaker News that the Bad Bunny Stone Slide is due out for a release; stay tuned for firm dates and pricing info.
