Bad Bunny and adidas are expanding their Puerto Rico “City Series” with a fourth release, the Gazelle “Vega Baja”. This new edition joins the “Cabo Rojo,” “Santurce,” and “El Yunque” colorways, each honoring a different part of Puerto Rico’s culture and geography.
Representing the west-central coastal city of Vega Baja, hometown to Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, the shoe features a golden yellow suede upper, white Three Stripes, gum sole and green rope laces. The color palette is said to represent the rich colors of mangos in all their ripe glory.
The tale of the “Vega Baja” colorway was revealed last week in a full-page ad for The New York Times, depicting a paradise filled with the region’s local landmarks and traditions. The release was spotted for the first time at The Archive: Puerto Rico Para El Mundo. La Historia de Una Collab, a special collaboration exhibition at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. The exhibition, which includes 146 total Bad Bunny x adidas sneakers, is the first physical showcase of the collection.
The Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle “Vega Baja” is expected to release later in 2025 via adidas.com, the CONFIRMED app, and select retailers.
