As Nike designers cook on the first signature Cade Cunningham shoes, the Beaverton brand has made the Nike ST Charge his own in the interim, releasing multiple PE styles with no clear end in sight. Following an orange colorway inspired by Cade’s high school alma mater, we’re now hit with an alternate take rooted in the same inspiration, though our minds go somewhere else entirely.

The Nike ACG Mowabb “Birch,” last seen in 2021, is the immediate reference point, that model still known widely for having one of the more memorable ACG retro runs of the decade. Just like that colorway, Cade’s latest ST Charge sports a neutral beige foundation with blue and orange accents on the tongue, interior, and Swoosh. Subtle paint flakes within the TPU frame help strengthen the comparison. The official inspiration remains Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas, where Cade attended from 2016 to 2018 and later had his number retired.
