After several years flirting with “next up” status, the 2025-26 campaign has been the year where it’s finally started to click for the Charlotte Hornets. While developmental leaps for Moussa Diabate and Brandon Miller have been catalysts in that, the most tangible shift year-over-year was the arrival of Kon Kneuppel, the Duke sharpshooter who immediately bore fruit for Buzz City.
Reportedly, LaMelo Ball was a major factor in bringing Kon to the Hive, prompting some within the organization to speculate on a potential front office future for the Chino Hills product. We’ll leave our own prognostication for another date, especially given Ball remains a driver of a box office on-court product. As always, his PUMA MB.05 is trotting out show-stoppers to match, the latest a fittingly titled “Showtime” edition.
Of course, the hot pink overtones here match the unmissable hallmarks of any LaMelo Ball shoes, but there’s a clever flip on equally trademark mismatch aesthetics with alternating neon green and cool blue. The shapeshifting uppers here twist into a tiger stripe formation to reveal that, marking one of the more immediately arresting in a signature line laced with that sort of fare already.
The PUMA MB.05 “Showtime” releases on May 28th, arriving in men’s sizing for the stock standard $130.
