ASICS has all corners of the tech runner market on lock, from affordable picks like the GEL-1130 to mid-tier options like the GEL-Kayano 14, all the way up to the most premium level the category has to offer. Squarely in that realm is the new GEL-Kinetic 2.0, here continuing its rollout with a “Clay Grey” colorway.
The GEL-Kinetic 2.0 succeeds the GEL-Quantum Kinetic with an all-new design featuring both retro and futuristic design cues. The heel is particularly intriguing, almost resembling a sneaker within a mule with piping that extends up to the eyelets. A TPU cage runs the full length of the upper, while scutoid GEL cushioning peeks through an updated TRUSSTIC structure underfoot.
All that engineering results in a $250 sneaker, placing it in the upper echelon of the ASICS Sportstyle lineup. This “Clay Grey” colorway is due out soon via ASICS and select retailers. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
