Seoul boutique TUNE is following its recent adidas project with a new Nike Air Force 1 collaboration rooted in Korean sneaker history. The pair, titled “Wardrobe Unlocked,” revisits the Air Force 1 CVS era from the 1990s, when canvas-built Forces became part of Seoul’s streetwear landscape.
The TUNE Nike Air Force 1 uses a full canvas construction dressed in a deep olive shade. Its simple, tonal look gives the shoe a military-inspired feel, while the heavy wax-coated material is designed to change with wear. Instead of staying perfect, the upper is meant to break in, fade, and build character over time.
TUNE’s “Wardrobe Unlocked” concept centers on the feeling of finding something rare where you least expect it. That idea connects to digging through old closets, thrift racks, or forgotten storage and finding a piece with real history. The shoe leans into that aged feel with materials made to look better after regular use.
A special sandpaper-style card comes with the release and can be used on the upper to create a more worn-in finish. Each pair will age differently depending on how it is worn, giving the collaboration a personal, one-of-one feel after time in rotation.
The TUNE x Nike Air Force 1 CVS “Wardrobe Unlocked” releases May 1st through TUNE’s website and its Seongsu store. The launch gives longtime fans a callback to Seoul’s Air Force 1 CVS history while introducing newer collectors to that moment through a modern lens.
