Wherever adidas is going, BAPE is coming with. Now stretching into multiple decades, it’s only right that the German giant continues to pump out product bearing the Japanese streetwear brand’s embellishments and overall touch, utilized both for more run-of-the-mill collections and whenever the sports/culture calendar requires a big moment. You’ll of course recognize that from what remains a gargantuan plotline in their World Cup delivery, but it’s a more abstract narrative that lights the BAPE x adidas EVO SL.
Look even to adi’s rivals and the melding of fashion and running is abundantly apparent; POST ARCHIVE FACTION’s history with On Running and, in one of 2026’s real breakout hits, Melitta Baumeister’s inaugural capsule with the Swoosh. Given the starry adversaries the Three Stripes is facing down, it’s only right that they look to a Bathing Ape, now taking over the EVO SL and further raising the profile of a model that’s been a massive success already.
As alluded to in our title, the alternating palettes are the central concept, switching between baby blue and baby pink across either shoe, including with the patented camo that envelops the collars and interiors. In a touch we’ve seen throughout the adi x A Bathing Ape era, the brand here opts for a left/right split rather than lateral/medial, utilizing the Shooting Star on the right before switching to the Three Stripes on the opposite side. Patches of yellow traction underfoot and gilded Trefoil/Ape Head details close out.
The adidas x BAPE EVO SL is expected to release on June 1st, retailing for $200 upon arrival. Catch early leaked images below and watch our coverage for more on what’ll likely remain a seismic drop as it nears closer.
