Michael Jordan’s first NBA championship remains the story behind the Air Jordan 6 DMP. Originally released in 2006 as part of the “Defining Moments Package” with the Air Jordan 11, the black-and-gold colorway later returned as a standalone retro in April 2020.
Black nubuck covers the upper, giving the Air Jordan 6 a clean and premium look. Metallic Gold accents appear on the midsole, lace toggle, heel pull tab, tongue branding, and Jumpman details, adding a championship feel without overloading the design.
The Air Jordan 6 itself carries deep history, as Michael Jordan wore the model during his first title run in 1991. Tinker Hatfield’s design featured sports car-inspired details, including a spoiler-like heel tab, molded tongue, visible Air cushioning, and perforated paneling for breathability.
The 2020 version, released individually for $200 after the original 2006 pair arrived inside the two-shoe DMP pack.
While the release has long sold out, collectors can still find pairs through resale platforms such as StockX.
