Three decades of WNBA history are being honored through a special adidas Superstar created for the league’s 30th anniversary season in 2026. The exclusive seeding kit celebrates the women who helped build basketball’s past, shape its present, and push its future forward.
The adidas Superstar “WNBA 30th Anniversary” edition uses the pearl as its main design inspiration. Traditionally tied to 30-year milestones, the pearl theme appears across the upper through raised white pearl details and silver crystal-like accents. The result gives the classic Shell Toe a more elevated finish while keeping the model’s familiar shape intact.
Orange Three Stripes add a direct nod to the WNBA’s signature color, standing out against the soft white leather base. More pearl and crystal details cover the heel and side panels, while cream-colored laces and midsoles keep the look clean. The insole also features “30 Trips Around the Sun” branding, tying the design back to the league’s milestone season.
Special packaging gives the pair a deeper storytelling element. The shoes arrive in a display-style box with marbled detailing, while the protective shell insert includes a message honoring the women who built, carried, and will continue changing basketball.
adidas created the Superstar “WNBA 30th Anniversary” kit for its women’s basketball family, including names like Candace Parker, Chelsea Gray, Satou Sabally, Hailey Van Lith, Aliyah Boston, Aaliyah Edwards, Chiney Ogwumike, and more. The pair is not expected to release publicly, making it a meaningful player-exclusive tribute to the WNBA’s next chapter.
