Up There continues its adidas Consortium run with a new adidas Melbourne “Black” colorway inspired by the city’s well-known love for all-black style. The Australian retailer first introduced the Melbourne earlier this year, bringing adidas’ City Series to Australia through a silhouette rooted in archival Three Stripes design.
This sneaker also pulls from the adidas Rome, a rare Australian-made model originally created for military use. That reference gives the shoe a deeper local connection while keeping the design clean, wearable, and true to adidas’ terrace-inspired history.
Full-grain tumbled leather covers the upper, giving the pair a premium look with subtle texture. Rough-cut suede appears across the toe, while polished leather Three Stripes add contrast along the side panels. Additionally, “MADE FOR UP THERE” branding lands on the tongue for a custom finish.
Up There’s signature bright green adds a sharp pop of color through the insoles and lace tips. The detail breaks up the blacked-out build without taking away from its sleek, understated look.
The second Up There x adidas Melbourne colorway releases May 7, 2026 exclusively through Up There. Pairs will launch in-store at 10AM AEST and online at 6PM AEST.
