Disney and Pixar are bringing Toy Story back to adidas with a new footwear collection tied to the upcoming release of Toy Story 5. The lineup includes character-inspired pairs for Jessie, Woody, and Buzz Lightyear, with releases beginning through Foot Locker June 1st ahead of a wider adidas.com launch expected in June 2026.
The Disney & Pixar Toy Story x adidas Originals collection uses familiar adidas models to translate each character’s look into wearable sneaker designs. Instead of simple logo placement, adidas leans into costume details, color blocking, and small character cues that make each pair easy to connect back to the film.
Jessie’s adidas Samba Jane takes the strongest Western approach of the group. The Mary Jane-style silhouette features cow-print detailing inspired by her chaps, including the pattern across the toe area. Denim-style Three Stripes add another cowgirl touch, while stitched accents on the strap and heel bring more of her outfit into the design.
Woody’s adidas Samba keeps the cowboy theme going with a denim-like upper and yellow-brown suede overlays across the forefoot. His yellow-and-red shirt pattern appears on the Three Stripes and inner lining, while the red heel panel nods to his neckerchief. A belt buckle-style lace dubrae finishes the pair with one of the collection’s best character details.
Buzz Lightyear’s adidas Adistar Control 5 shifts the collection into Space Ranger mode. The pair features a white mesh base with neon green, purple, blue, and red accents pulled from Buzz’s suit. Metallic silver overlays and “LIGHTYEAR” tongue branding complete the look, while the kids’ version adds a light-up heel feature.
The Disney & Pixar Toy Story adidas collection blends nostalgia with adidas’ current lifestyle push, giving longtime fans and younger sneaker shoppers a playful mix of character design and everyday wear. Expect pairs to continue rolling out through Foot Locker on June 1st, with the adidas.com release expected later in June 2026.
