The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” is returning in 2027, just not the way most fans hoped. Sorry to disappoint, but one of Michael Jordan’s most iconic sneakers is headed to the golf course instead of a traditional retro release.
While the shoe has not been officially revealed, early mockups point to the familiar black leather upper, elephant print overlays, grey accents, and red hits that made the original one of the most recognizable Jordans ever. The last proper Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” retro released in 2024, making this 2027 golf version more of a course-ready follow-up than the traditional return many fans may have expected.
The biggest changes should arrive underfoot. Since this version is built for golf, the outsole is expected to feature course-ready traction instead of the traditional basketball setup. Jordan Brand could also adjust the cushioning and sole materials to make the shoe better suited for walking the fairway.
The release continues Jordan Brand’s push into golf footwear, a category closely tied to Michael Jordan’s longtime love for the sport. Using the “Black Cement” colorway gives golfers a familiar retro look while shifting the classic Air Jordan 3 into a performance space made for the course.
Air Jordan 3 Golf “Black Cement” Release Date
