The Nike Air Max 90 “Scorpion” is the latest launch expected this Summer 2026 from Nike’s recent Scorpion Air Max lineup, joining the Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus VII “Scorpion”. Rather than opting for the louder Gamma Blue aesthetic featured on its siblings, this sneaker takes things in tone with a chill Grey, Black, and Chrome color scheme.
Grey mesh hits the toe box, tongue, and collar of the shoe, providing a lighter base to the upper before the chrome elements shine through. Metallic panels adorn the mudguard, eyestays, heel, and sides of the shoe to bring reflectivity to the design without warping the classic silhouette of the Air Max 90 too much.
Black is used quite frequently on this shoe. It makes up the Swoosh, lining, midsole, outsole, and even the Air Max window, balancing out the silver-colored upper with heavier contrast. While the red insole provides a pop of color, even that detail is obscured when worn on the foot.
Instead of utilizing the traditional branding on the heel, Nike places a black scorpion logo on the backtab of the Air Max 90. Situated on top of the chrome-inspired heel plate, the logo serves as a means to designate the shoe to the collection without adding unnecessary clutter.
Expect the Nike Air Max 90 “Scorpion” to drop this Summer 2026 at Nike.com and select retailers.
Compared to its fellow Scorpion Air Max releases, this particular sneaker takes a more subtle approach.
