As we first level set on the Nike Mind series, Beaverton’s designers placed intentional and understandable focus on the network of nodes underfoot. It was that science-backed platform that made the two silhouettes can’t-miss propositions; the initial colorways ensured that by using highlighter shades, often in bright orange, so onlookers could spot either model from 100 yards away.

We’re now almost a half a year into the journey of the Mind, and recent looks have taken a different tone entirely. With every sneakerhead and a large portion of the general public now aware of what the series brings to the table, flooded, calm variations trickle out with regularity. Following all-white and all-black, another sensible monochrome comes to light with the Mind 001 “Hemp.” Though the peachy tonality that drapes this pair is dominating, silvery Swooshes and white insoles help break up what’d otherwise be a fully uninterrupted colorway.
