Air Jordan 1 Low OG Banned 2026

2025 was a year of “banned” for the Jumpman. Jordan Brand kicked off celebrations for its 40th anniversary by releasing the Air Jordan 1 High “Bred” in February, roughly coinciding with the date the NBA announced a per-game fine for Michael Jordan’s black and red signature shoe forty years earlier. The release was supported by a renewed “banned” campaign that brought together some of Jordan Brand’s most influential partners, including Luka Dončić, Nigel Sylvester, Travis Scott, and more.

But the Jumpman isn’t finished yet. New images posted by sneaker leaker and reseller @yyt_snkrs show an Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Banned” sample expected to drop in 2026. The core design follows the classic “Bred” formula, featuring multiple textures of black and Varsity Red leather. The “Banned” theme comes to life externally through X’s placed where the Jordan Wings logo typically sits on the backtab. Inside, the insoles read, “On September 15th, 1984, Nike created a revolutionary new basketball shoe,” echoing the narration from the original “banned” commercial. The sockliner features the date 10.18.84, the day the league officially barred MJ from wearing the shoe. Jordan Brand released a high-top version of this theme in 2011, widely considered one of the standout Jordan 1 drops of its era.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Banned” does not yet have a confirmed release date, but a Spring/Summer 2026 launch appears likely. See detailed images below and stay tuned for more updates.
