New Balance 204L Rose Sugar Pink

Let’s shelve the “sneaker of the year” discourse for a moment and talk about the most viral sneaker of the year. That crown arguably belongs to the New Balance 1906L, a model that immediately sparked opinions across the spectrum and pushed nearly every other footwear brand to explore sneaker-loafer hybrids of their own. But the 1906L hasn’t been a mere flash in the pan. A steady stream of inline colorways has arrived over the past few seasons, and that momentum carries into 2026 with a newly uncovered “Rose Sugar” look.

Like recent “Beige” and “Olive” editions, the hybrid silhouette here opts for a monochrome finish built atop a black outsole. The 1906L has experimented with a wide range of material makeups, including suede, leather, croc skin, and even snakeskin by way of a GANNI collaboration. The most prevalent execution, however, remains a mesh/leather build that stays closest to the shoe’s tech runner DNA, which is the route taken here.

The New Balance 1906L “Rose Sugar” doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, but all signs point to a Spring/Summer 2026 drop. Retail is set at $160 USD. See detailed images below and hit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming pairs.
