New Balance keeps Lunar New Year low-key. The New Balance “Year of the Horse” Collection avoids bright colors and heavy themes. Everything feels toned down on purpose.
Six pairs are included. Two 574s come first, dressed in brown and khaki. Nothing flashy. That restraint suits the model. The 204L follows in grey and white, finished with faux horse-hair heel tabs. It’s the only obvious nod to the theme.
The 2010 adds structure. Brown leather sits beside grey mesh and nubuck panels. Woven details land on the tongue and heel. The reference feels practical, not decorative. The 2000 caps off the trilogy with bold contrast: black synthetic overlays, distressed white details and desaturated ABZORB midsole.
