Hot off a Wild Card round win against the defending Super Bowl champions, San Francisco 49ers fans have yet another reason to celebrate. Following news of a retro last summer, the Nike Air Diamond Turf II “Prime Red” has emerged alongside confirmation of a February 7th release date.
The Nike Air Diamond Turf II originally released during Deion Sanders’ lone year with the San Francisco 49ers, a season in which he collected his first Super Bowl ring and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. The model has historically been one of the more elusive Deion Sanders shoes but looks primed for a bigger push in 2026, set to return in its original white “49ers” colorway as well as the red-dominant retro we have before us today.
This particular “Prime Red” aka “Fire Red/White/Black/Metallic Gold” colorway last returned in 2012 as part of the model’s most recent retro stint. The 2026 edition does right by the OG, featuring Prime’s No. 21 framed by Swooshes on the tongue and stitched Nike Air branding in gold on the heel. The 2012 pair, as some might recall, opted for gold serif branding on the tongue and debossed Nike Air at the heel.
The Nike Air Diamond Turf II “Prime Red” drops February 7th, 2026 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers in full family sizing, priced at $170 for adults. See first-look images below if you’re planning to cop.
