New Balance 204L “Dark Silver Metallic” U204L1KP

It’s wild to imagine that we once decried, or at least noted, the lack of a real “slim sole” attendant within the New Balance catalog. It feels like within weeks of making that claim, the New Balance 204L became among the most populous members of the Boston brand’s catalog, a model we can’t go a few days without uncovering in a new colorway.

Despite the fact that the Danielle Cathari-designed KITH debut for the 204L leaned into flooded, vibrant territory, the looks since have tended towards the same “tech runner” aesthetics you’ll run into so frequently elsewhere in the NB world. The truest to date is on tap today, a “Dark Silver Metallic” edition that unites much of this shoe’s real estate in various silvers and greys, with the slight exception of white collars, laces, and midsole units.

The New Balance 204L “Dark Silver Metallic” is listed via international channels with a February 6th release date, but don’t be shocked if there’s some latency before this pair touches down stateside. Regardless, expect a $120 retail price or equivalent once that comes to pass.
