Of course we’re getting a sequel. As the most decorated current WNBA player, the Nike A’One came in with extremely high expectations and anticipation, as the Las Vegas Aces ace became the first Black WNBA player with a major signature since Candace Parker, and the first under Nike since Sheryl Swoopes. Even with that lofty bar to clear, the Nike A’One has managed to do so, another notch in A’ja Wilson’s banner year that included a third title for Vegas and a fresh MVP award to add to the trophy case.
To borrow the nomenclature from a labelmate, it appears that Chapter Two of the A’ja Wilson signature story is imminent. As the offseason stretches on, she took to Instagram to share some training stills. In a clever spin on the usual “redacted footwear” angle, her feet are photoshopped out entirely in these shots, obviously another step in the winking aspect that athletes take during these ramp-ups. Trust and believe, this is the start of the A’Two rollout, even if we don’t have even the simplest shape to dissect at this time.
While we’ve become accustomed to some truncated cycles for sig shoes as of late, the timing here is about right. We’ll note that the A’One was first revealed in February of 2025 before an eventual May release. We can’t report any fine details at the time of this writing, but more than likely, it’ll be a similar turnaround after the Nike A’Two is eventually revealed.
