Jordan Brand has become increasingly obsessed with its own history in recent years, revisiting its archive time and again not only with retros of grails like the Undefeated 4s, but also with samples that never saw proper releases upon their creation. The latest bring-back is the Air Jordan 3 “Khaki” from 2012, now set to hit shelves fifteen years later in June 2027.
If you were active in the sneaker world back in 2012, you may remember the “Khaki” 3s as part of an unreleased sample pack that also included a blue denim option. The concept mirrored the Jordan 7 “J2K” pack that released that same year, regarded by many as one of the worst Jordan packs of all time. The 3s are certainly the better of the two, but as with every sample bring-back, we’re left to wonder: should these have stayed in the archive? That’s ultimately a question you’ll all answer with your wallets.
Per zSneakerHeadz, Sneaker Files, and Sneaker Market Romania, the 2027 Air Jordan 3 “Khaki” is expected to do its best impression of the original sample. Khaki suede forms the upper, while tan and navy elephant print lands across the toe and heel. A white midsole and light brown gum outsole finish off the underfoot setup, while the backtab features a tan Jumpman over a white TPU badge.
