Nike has found common ground between the Shox family and soccer aesthetics, most notably with the Shox Magia, which additionally tackled women’s fashion while it was at it.
With the pseudo-heeled arrangement of the Nike Shox R4, it’s no shock that its retro run has been dominated by female-centric marketing and colorways. As a Nike Shox R4 in “Brazil” coloring comes to light, it appears that the tri-fold intersection is in focus once again. Hitting on vivid blue in the Shox propulsion and yellow in the side Swoosh, it’s not necessarily country colors in focus, but instead association ones. the “Brazil CBF” branding and logo on the tongue indicate this is an earnest collaboration with the Confederação Brasileira de Desportos (Brazilian Footbal Confederation), perfect for rooting for O Canarinho this summer.
Beyond a $160 retail price, launch details for the Nike Shox R4 “Brazil” are in short supply. Expect a launch in the coming weeks as we transition from the Spring shopping season into Summer.
