New Balance’s outdoor lineup has quietly become a playground for creative partners. South Korea’s CAYL, short for Climb As You Love, has been part of that movement since 2021. Their latest effort arrives as the CAYL x New Balance Performance Pack, bringing two trail-ready models designed with rugged terrain in mind.
Replacing the traditional mesh of the Fresh Foam Trainer, ripstop lends the upper a grey grid texture that appears durable and functional. Metallic silver details further bolster the heel, sidewalls and toe of the build. Beneath foot you will find a bulky black Fresh Foam X midsole while the outsole mirrors that colur scheme.
The second pair takes a lighter approach. Mesh forms most of the Minimus Trail, while purple side panels introduce a flash of color. Black ripstop around the heel and toe helps guard against rough conditions. Completing the trail-ready package is a lace toggle for easier tightening or loosening and gum rubber outsole.
The CAYL x New Balance Performance Pack release March 6th via CAYL, followed by a global launch on March 13th.
