Patent Leather Air Force 1s Will Be Another Theme This Summer

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

If we had doubts around the time of the Lil Yachty collaboration in 2025, Central Cee’s SYNA edition cemented it in our minds: the patent leather Air Force 1 is a red-hot commodity. Sell-through on the “Pink Camo” inline style only added more fuel to the fire, and our ability to suss out plans for brands via seasonal calendars solidifies that the concept will be a repeat offender as we work into the later stages of 2026.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Easter” will offer both a nostalgic take two and a holiday-themed entrance to patent leather, but the Swoosh already has far more in store. Shown here is a new version set for summer, coated in steely blue glossy leather before switching to hi-vis green on the laces and outsole, bracketed by a purple Swoosh and heel tab. Beyond simply revisiting a material make-up once dominant in the aughts, this also taps into the expressive aesthetics of the era, hammering in on a retro trend that, if Nike has its druthers, will be inescapable in the warmer months ahead.

Excluding these product shots, little info has surfaced about this Nike Air Force 1 Low. As more details come to light, we’ll keep this page and our Sneaker Release Dates hub updated with the latest.
