The Nike Air Max 90 Borders OG Color Blocking In “Silver Sage”

All indications suggest the Air Max 90 isn’t one of Nike’s top priorities right now, but like only a few other Swoosh icons, the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette is one that never really goes out of style. We’re expecting a steady stream of general releases through Summer 2026 and beyond, including this “Silver Sage” makeup featuring OG-adjacent color blocking.

Nearly every element mirrors the model’s classic blocking a la the “Infrared,” led by a Summit White mesh base, black leather mudguard, Light Pumice suede at the quarter, and the accent color applied to the backtab, midsole wedge… you get the gist. The only real departure comes by way of the Swoosh, rendered in titular Silver Sage suede instead of Light Pumice. The tongue also comes with that chain-link style texture Nike has been applying to most Air Max 90s as of late. Haven’t met anyone who prefers it over the standard silk fabric tongue, in all honesty, but it shouldn’t detract too much from the overall appeal.
