As part of brand’s increasing efforts to maintain supremacy in the New York City battleground, Nike has partnered with graffiti legend Kunle Martins aka IRAK to drop a special Air Force 1 “City Hero”. This all-black execution of a leather Air Force 1 features a scratch-away heel with custom handstyle by IRAK himself.
Currently, Nike SNKRS has deployed a SNKRS Stash release in the NYC area only; pick-ups are happening exclusively at 47 Chrystie, a location where Nike has been launching community activations as well as sneaker drops. Most recently, the brand showcased the photography and artwork of Clayton Patterson, a Lower East Side mainstay known for his historical cataloguing of the downtown neighborhood. Previously, Nike teamed with HOMERUN for a series of exercise-focused meet-ups.
If you’re in the NYC area, check your SNKRS App to secure a pair of the Air Force 1 “City Hero”.
