Training silhouettes from the early 2000s continue influencing today’s lifestyle sneakers. Jordan Brand leans into that direction with the Jordan Trunner O/S “Blue Beyond”, a design that blends cross-training DNA with a modern everyday feel. The result feels familiar yet updated, balancing performance roots with casual versatility.
Upper textures are one of the biggest contrasts on the shoe. Blue Beyond suede is utilized on the toe, eyestays, and heel of the shoe, enveloping the breathable Cobblestone mesh that occupies the midfoot and forefoot. The molded TPU support cage that stretches over the midsole brings the silhouette one of its most identifiable attributes, while functional purposes of stability are also provided. Minor ribbing and lateral Jordan Branding help tie in the model’s training cues while still letting the rest of the shoes shine.
Few pops of color help elevate the cooler toned color scheme. Atomic Orange laces help stand out on the shoes blue and grey foundation. Midnight navy is used on the lining and on heel details to contrast the rest of the palette. Jumpman logo’s are found on both the lace tab and heel badge for a subtle brand reminder.
Underfoot, a thick sculpted foam midsole finished in a warm tan shade helps anchor the design visually. The outsole adds segmented traction zones, including black rubber pods and a Jumpman logo placed near the midfoot.
