The New Balance 1906F Dawns With A “Sunrise” Build

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Any New Balance model is liable to take on a new life, but the New Balance 1906 has unquestionably worn the most hats since it became the de facto face of the tech runner movement in Boston. The latest one we’ve unveiled is the “1906F,” leaning on the no-sew aesthetics first developed by the 1906W but with an edgier, sharper overall composition.

Now capturing a gradient-laden “Sunrise” colorway, the model builds on the claim to fame we’ve repeatedly seen so far: replacing the usual leather overlays with a network of triangular synthetic patches. That choice is especially aggressive within the context of this fiery edition, continuing its front-to-back yellow/orange ombre through the sole. An unexpected instance of blue on the tongue and trail-inspired hardware, like the pull closures and pull tabs on the heel, rounds out what this one brings to the table.

The New Balance 1906F “Sunrise” is beginning to pop up via retailer listings, indicating that a wider NewBalance.com release is likely in the works. Note that no version of the 1906F has officially hit NB.com just yet; this adds to a potential set of debut colorways. Check out what this pair has to offer below.
