Devin Booker is a Wildcat through and through, expressed time and time again in the history of his public releases. However, through the early days of his PE colorways for the Nike Book 2, he’s bucked school pride; it’s now commonplace to see the Suns superstar suit up in rival colors.
The Nike Book 2 “BYU” edition at hand demonstrates that campus-ready wear has been the dominant theme, likely intentional as we stare down March Madness. Though built on the “Spiridon” mesh hardware, the Cougars’ pair is pretty unprecedented aesthetically, draped almost comprehensively in royal blue but saving space for some silver trim and branding that help set that arrangement off.
This is just more fuel to the fire as Devin Booker continues his reign over the world of PEs. Jumping back to his debut, by the time we closed out the Book 1, we’d seen more than 100 variations from start to finish. In that opening chapter, the inspiration was a bit more far-flung, pulling from Nike classics, hometown imagery, and everything in between; perhaps the source material will widen its scope as we get further into the Book 2 story, but for now, it’s the NCAA benefiting from the bulk of his work.
