Nike continues to spotlight South Korea as a key global market, unveiling what appears to be a new collection of sportswear classics reworked with football-inspired design language ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
What may evidently be a larger collection of footwear is comprised of heritage silhouettes blended with subtle nods to the global game, reflecting Nike’s ongoing investment in Korea both culturally and athletically. Leading the collection is a reimagined Astrograbber that we revealed earlier, updated with a reconstructed upper that mimics the look of a traditional football boot through prominent stitch lines, an overt shift from its original roots in American football. Alongside it is the ever-iconic Nike Air Max 95, which features an upper is accented with reflective piping against a black base and pear yellow interior, adding a modern edge while maintaining the silhouette’s signature layered construction.
Both pairs carry consistent branding elements that tie the collection together; a “KR” logo appears on the insoles, while the Air Max 95 features a unique detail underfoot via the word “Air” spelled out phonetically in Korean lettering along the outsole, offering a localized twist on one of Nike’s most recognizable design signatures.
With Nike serving as the official outfitter for South Korea’s national team, the collection arrives as a natural extension of the brand’s presence in the region. Currently, the shoes are available globally via Nike channels, with a US release date still TBD.
