Ye’s latest YZY drop introduces the Yeezy YS-02 Slide, a new slip-on design that keeps the brand’s minimal footwear language intact while moving toward a cleaner everyday look. The release arrives through YZY’s independent platform as the brand continues expanding beyond music into fashion, design, and media.
The all-black slide takes a more streamlined approach than the YS-01, which featured a more aggressive ripple-style sole. This new version uses a smooth upper, rounded footbed, and flat outsole setup with herringbone traction underneath. The result feels closer to a simple daily slide built for easy wear rather than a bold sculptural statement.
YZY’s latest release also puts a bigger focus on shipping speed. Past Yeezy drops have drawn complaints from buyers waiting longer than expected, but the brand now lists the Yeezy YS-02 Slide with a three-to-five-business-day shipping window. That faster turnaround gives this launch a more polished feel compared to earlier independent YZY releases.
