At his best, Ja Morant has earth-shattering athleticism, something he’s flexed over countless defenders from Derrick White to Victor Wembanyama, the latter only restricted from being an all-time highlight by an early whistle. He and the Grizzlies star have become thick as thieves across Morant’s signature line, so it’s no shock to see the Ja 3 “Kool-Aid” hit the newswire.
To be sure, we’ve been aware of this shoe for months; in a familiar storyline, the Murray State product “leaked” this collaboration in the way he’s done for countless Ja 3 colorways and the Ja 4 model as a whole. Official images of the style touching down only indicate that a release is finally at hand, letting loose a refreshing mismatch concept where chilly blue trim remains in place across either shoe, swapping between lemonade yellow and cherry pink/red. The finer details do really come into view with this studio set, however, revealing graphic insoles with the “Ohhh Yeahhh!!” motto,” alternating branding on the tongues, and icy traction underfoot.
