Nike and the WNBA have officially unveiled this year’s Rebel Edition uniforms, introducing a fresh wave of alternate jerseys designed to reflect the individuality and culture behind each of the league’s fifteen franchises. Created in collaboration with every team, the latest collection continues Nike’s effort to blend on-court performance with storytelling rooted in the communities that shape the modern WNBA.
Much like the NBA’s City Connect editions, the Rebel Edition jerseys serve as visual extensions of each franchise’s identity. According to Nike, the designs draw from each team’s energy and local influences while embracing qualities that continue to define the league’s rapid rise both competitively and culturally.
“Each Rebel uniform is an opportunity to bring the team’s identity into sharper focus and let their energy speak in a new way on court,” said Katie West, Senior Manager & Designer of Basketball Apparel at Nike. “It’s a privilege to translate what makes each team distinct into something players can wear with confidence and fans can feel connected to.”
The launch also reinforces Nike’s broader long-term investment into women’s basketball and the WNBA, a league currently experiencing unprecedented momentum across attendance, television ratings, fashion influence, and fan engagement. Alongside the uniforms themselves, Nike and the WNBA will also release a full Rebel Fanwear collection featuring hoodies, shorts, and T-shirts inspired by the jerseys’ bold graphics and color palettes.
These new Rebel Edition jerseys have implications on WNBA footwear as well; Sabrina Ionescu’s Nike Sabrina 4, A’ja Wilson’s Nike A’Two and Caitlin Clark’s Kobe PE footwear as well as her signature shoe are likely to feature matching colorways with these alternates.
