Some first-time collaborations feel bigger than a standard release, and this one lands that way. Noah is finally entering the sneaker lane with Converse, giving its first Nike Inc.-connected project a familiar shape with a different point of view.
The Noah x Converse Chuck 70 Pack arrives in both high and low, but each pair takes things in opposite directions. Noah goes rugged and distressed with one and sleeker and cleaner with the other.
To begin, the Chuck 70 Hi on top features maroon, olive, and blue patchwork canvas. Stitching outlines each panel for contrast. Off-white laces and vintage ankle patch nods to classic Converse styles. They feel worn-in, not like costumes.
The Chuck 70 Ox keeps it simple on bottom with a blue, green, black and white plaid suede upper. That pattern gives it a prep-heavy look without overdoing it. An aged midsole, gum outsole, and clean toe cap finish the pair the right way.
The Noah x Converse Chuck 70 Pack releases March 26th and March 27th through Noah, Converse.com, and select retailers for $120 and $115.
