Desert Gradients Hop On The Nike Air Max Plus

While it may be playing second fiddle to the Air Max 95 and Air Max 90 in terms of recent headlines, Sean McDowell’s Nike Air Max Plus has remained a steady presence, continuing to deliver the occasional special edition (like the upcoming “Flairemax” colorway) alongside familiar gradient looks.

This latest pair leans into the latter, casting an arid, sunset-like gradient across the upper. Brown Monarch coloring plays the role of sand dunes, gradually transitioning into a pale blue over the forefoot. The midfoot plate flips that gradient on its head, while the midsole, TPU cage, and remaining elements fade into the background in black.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Monarch” doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, but pairs are expected to arrive sometime in the Summer/Fall 2026 window. See detailed images below if you’re moved to cop.
