The Nike Air Force 1 “Triple White” is about as ubiquitous as you can get in footwear, an icon across the world for decades. It’s why, as Foot Locker plotted a one-of-a-kind moment, the all-whites were the obvious choice, the face of their “Find Your Force” campaign that’s offered some freebies to those wearing the black and white stripes.
As promised above, Nike and Foot Locker have teamed up to give away 22,000 pairs of the Nike Air Force 1 Low in “Triple White,” particularly highlighting how Bruce Kilgore’s design has become a canvas of personal expression. Some rock ’em untied, some ride their pair until the tread comes off, some can barely tolerate the hint of a crease before it’s time to re-up.
Beyond personal proclivities, every region has their own interpretation of what the Air Force 1 represents. Candidly, our New York City bias means you’ll so often hear us call them “Uptowns,” but we acknowledge that it’d be alien to someone who only rocks “G Fazos.” So often we can get caught up in the hype, the resale premium, and the overall industry that surrounds footwear, but it’s a shoe as timeless as the Air Force 1 that allows us to recenter on the connection that our kicks can foster.
