Nike Transforms The Rejuven8 Into Summer Jelly Sandals

It certainly feels like Nike’s overtures to women are more bountiful and diverse than they’ve ever been. Put a model like the Moon Shoe next to one like the Nike Air Max Muse to see what we mean, as Beaverton’s product specifically tooled to the ladies’ sensibilities differ in form, origins, focus, and everything in between.

The Nike Air Rejuven8 presents as one of the more unexpected in that crowd, revisiting an invention from around the 2008 Olympics that bore an inventive tech sheet, literally splitting between a mesh interior bootie and a hardier synthetic cage. Playing into those already existing airy bona fides, the Nike Air Rejuven8 now looks to the world of jelly shoes for a new series, called out by the Swoosh as a way to bridge poolside and front row at a fashion show.

Though it is a lane we’ve already seen explored by rival outfits, Nike sets out on its own by dipping back into trademark Volt, going similarly boisterous with all-red before ensuring at least one reserved variation with a fully off-white colorway.

The Nike Air Rejuven8 “Jelly” pack has already shown up on global Nike channels with a May 1st release date. Whether that’ll hold once these three colorways surface stateside is currently unclear.
