3D-printed footwear has become a bustling category, represented by nearly every major player in the marketplace. For the Three Stripes, their Climacool initiative remains the most visible on that end, building off of a one-piece foundation with tinkered touches since its 2025 debut; new lace units, new sole patches, and the like. However, as their 3D-printed basketball shoe, the BB.01, demonstrated, adidas isn’t content with just one pillar in the advance tech category.

The adidas Futurecool Sneaker now adds another silhouette into the mix. We first got a glimpse of this model when images of an overseas preview hit the net, showcasing this shoe as well as another that paired sock interiors with an outside cage. Now officially revealed, the adidas Futurecool simultaneously shifts towards standard sneaker builds while still keeping the futuristic bend of the Climacool tech at its heart. On the former end, an asymmetrical tongue adds extra lockdown and security, rubber bumpers approximate a traditional mudguard, while the 3D-printed mold bows out underfoot to mimic a standard sole. A single-structure printing process and 360-degree ventilation remain selling points of this latest Climacool innovation.

The adidas Climacool Futurecool will drop in an initial allotment of 400 pairs via an adidas CONFIRMED app draw. That raffle is open now; winners will be announced on September 3rd. A $180 retail price is confirmed. A further global launch of the silhouette is set to follow in April 2027.
