The “Chrome” 8s originally released in 2003 and returned for the first time in 2015, making this month’s release the third time the colorway has landed on shelves. The look carries the same understated appeal as “Black Cat” footwear and other all-black Jordan retros, though the AJ8 obviously doesn’t command the Air Jordan 4’s level of attention. This latest retro continues a renewed push for the often-overlooked silhouette, following last year’s “Aqua” and “Bugs Bunny” retros and the “Bin 23” release earlier this summer.
As expected, the 2026 edition stays pretty faithful to its predecessors: black nubuck covers the upper, patterned “Chrome” detailing lands on the signature side plates, and high-pile chenille fills out the circular tongue patch.
